Jakob Gerbeth

The tenor Jakob Gerbeth began his musical education at the age of six. In addition to cello lessons at the Johann-Sebastian-Bach Music School in Vienna, singing in the choir was also his great passion. His voice was professionally nurtured in the Children's Choir of the Vienna Choir School at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, where he soon began to take on solo roles.

From 2018 to 2021, Jakob Gerbeth performed both in the choir of the Operklosterneuburg (La Traviata and Hoffmann's Tales) and at the Operette Langenlois (Die Fledermaus). Furthermore, since 2018, he has been a permanent member of the mostly soloist-driven vocal ensemble Momentum Vocal Music, with which he performed at the Carinthian Summer in 2021, among other engagements.

Since 2020, he has been studying concert singing under Professor Margit Klaushofer at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.

Jakob Gerbeth made his solo debut in the role of Floridoro/Feraspe at the Donaufestwochen 2022 at Schloss Greinburg, where he celebrated great success. In addition, he sang his first Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni) in February 2023 in Walbrzych (Poland). In March of the same year, he performed a highly successful rendition of "Die Schöne Müllerin" together with Professor Manfred Schiebel, and in May, he celebrated his role debut as Alfred (Die Fledermaus). In December, Jakob Gerbeth made his debut as the Evangelist in Bach's Christmas Oratorio and in March as a soloist in the St. Matthew Passion at the "Imago Dei" Festival.
