Biography
Botakoz Mukasheva was born in Almaty/Kazakhstan. She began playing the violin at the age of five. She received her first lessons at the K.Bayseitowa music college before she moved to Astana at the age of thirteen and there she continued her studies at the Kazakh National Academy of music. 2004 she began her studies at the University for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna at first with the senior consultant of the Alban Berg Quartet, Prof. Günter Pichler and from 2009 with Prof. Dora Schwarzberg. In 2011, she completed her concert specialist studies with unanimous distinction. Botakoz Mukasheva is prizewinner of numerous violin competitions, among others: 1st Prize in the international violin competition "The young Prince" (Kirgizien, 1997), 3rd Prize in the International Violin Competition (Ukraine, 1997), 2nd Prize in the violin competition "Thomastik - Infeld"(Krems, 1998), 1st Prize at the international competition "Rovere d ' Oro" (Italy, 1999), 2nd Special Prize at the International Violin and chamber music competition "Franz Schubert" (Italy, 2000), 1st Prize at the Republican violin competition (Astana, Kazakhstan, 2000), 3rd Prize at the international violin competition "Michelangelo Abbado" (Milan, Italy, 2001), 3rd Prize in the international contest "Shabyt Inspiration" (Astana, Kazakhstan, 2001). She performed as a soloist so far with following orchestras: Symphony Orchestra of the Meininger Theater, Germany; Astana Philharmonic Orchestra, Kazakhstan, Astana; Kazakhstan State Philharmonic in Almaty, Kazakhstan; Turkish National Symphony Orchestra, Istanbul, Turkey; Uzbekistan National Philharmonic Orchestra, Uzbekistan; State Chamber Orchestra "Academy of Soloists", Kazakhstan; Botakoz Mukasheva is a member of the Vienna Chamber Orchestra since 2007.
