Biography
Tenor Byoung-Nam Stefano Hwang was born in Seoul, Korea and graduated from ChuGye Univ. College of Arts. After graduating from Detmold National University of Music in Germany, he received a Diploma from the National University of Music.Â
He studied in a Masterclass with the world-famous Tenor Prof. Siegfried
Jerusalem at the National University of Music in Nuremberg.Â
He made his European debut in 2006, winning the Ferruccio Tagliavini International
Competition in Austria and the Tagliavi Tenor Special Prize.Â
World soprano Joan Sutherland, who was the jury chairman of this competition, praised him.
Currently, he is working as an opera and concert singer in Europe, mainly in Germany.
He has also worked as a lead actor in opera Carmen, La Traviata, Don Giovanni, Magic Flute, Cavalleria Rusticana, Country of Smiles and Nabucco. Other works include Verdi
'Requiem', Beethoven '9° Symphony', Mozart 'Requiem', 'Coronation Mass', Haydn
'Creation', Handel' Messiah'.
