Biography
This season, Anna Gillingham joins the Jungesensemble at Theater an der Wien where her roles include Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte), Mélisande (Pelléas et Mélisande) and the title role in Porpora’s Arianna in Nasso, as well as a concert performance of Mozart’s Die Schuldigkeit des ersten Gebots alongside Patricia Petibon and Michael Schade.
Following her professional debut in 2015 as the Governess (The Turn of the Screw) at Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Anna Gillingham has returned there each subsequent season; firstly for her debut as Miss Wordsworth, and then, last season, as Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), a role she debuted at Theater Basel. Anna closed last season with her debut at The Grange Festival as Miss Wordsworth in John Copley’s production conducted by Steuart Bedford.
