The Vienna Chamber Orchestra presents a new generation of award-winning soloists and conductors: Saxophonist Levente Bubreg, recipient of prizes including the Premio Crescendo, returns to the Wiener Konzerthaus for a second appearance following his successful debut in the Musica Juventutis series.Â
Cellist Jeremias Fliedl also began his career with a performance in the same series and has since gained international recognition.Â
Making their Konzerthaus debuts are Ukrainian violinist Dmytro Udovychenko, who has won prizes at competitions in Vilnius, Fermo, and Odesa, and Russian oboist Leonid Surkov, a 2024 prizewinner at the prestigious ARD Music Competition.Â
Two young conductors will also make their debuts: Omer Shteinhart, finalist and recipient of the Criticsâ Prize at the 2022 Guido Cantelli Competition, and Aurel Dawidiuk, who received no fewer than three international conducting awards in 2023 and will also debut this season as an organ soloist in the Organ series of the Wiener Konzerthaus.
