Biografie
Félix Dervaux joined the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam, Net
herlands, as Principal Horn at the age of 23.
Born in Cambrai, France, in 1990, Félix Dervaux began his music studies in percussion and horn at the age of 7. At 19, he continued his professional musical studies at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse in Lyon. The ERASMUS programme of the European Union enabled him to perfect his training at the Berlin University of the Arts in Germany, alongside the Berlin Philharmonic's prestigious Herbert von Karajan Academy, a training academy for young professional musicians of the highest caliber.
As principal horn the the esteemed Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, considered by Gramophone Magazine "The world's greatest orchestra", his performance has been critically acclaimed as being "top class" (NRC Handelsbad, Netherlands) and described as displaying "staggering confidence and musicality" (Les Echos, France).
Laureate of several international competitions, he has been invited as guest principal horn as well as soloist with some of the greatest orchestras in the world.
