Pedro Beriso trained as a conductor, pianist, and singer at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya in Barcelona, graduating with highest honors in 2011. Specializing in operatic repertoire and lyric diction, he continued his studies at the National Opera Studio in London, supported by the Royal Opera House-Covent Garden, followed by a two-year residency at the International Opera Studio in Zurich Opera House.
In 2016, Pedro joined the music staff of Opera Ballet Vlaanderen in Antwerp and Ghent as a pianist and répétiteur. Additionally, he serves as a teacher and vocal coach at the Dutch National Opera Studio in Amsterdam, the Royal Conservatory Antwerp, the International Opera Academy in Ghent, and the Young Singers Project at the Salzburg Festival.
With a repertoire encompassing over fifty opera titles, Pedro has had the privilege of working with conductors such as Robin Ticciati, Fabio Luisi, Trevor Pinnock, Enrique Mazzola, Philippe Herreweghe, and Raphaël Pichon. He has accompanied masterclasses and voice lessons with Carlos Chausson, Neil Shicoff, Angelika Kirchschlager, Ann Murray, Brigitte Fassbaender, Kiri te Kanawa, and Cecilia Bartoli.
Pedro has collaborated with the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona as a pianist and continuo player and is a regular guest at the Glyndebourne Opera Festival, where he serves as a pianist and senior vocal coach. In 2022, he made his operatic conducting debut at Opera Ballet Vlaanderen with productions of Così fan tutte and Mozart concert arias. He also collaborated with French soprano Julie Fuchs, selecting, editing, and arranging Mozart rarities for her solo album Amadè (Sony Classical).
In 2023, Pedro co-created and conducted Ändere die Welt!, a music theatre collage for the Opera Forward Festival of the Dutch National Opera. The success of this production led to a revival at the Semperoper Dresden in 2024, also conducted by Pedro.
He made his Salzburg Festival debut in 2023 as principal vocal coach and continuo player in a new production of Le nozze di Figaro, with the Vienna Philharmonic conducted by Raphaël Pichon. Pedro returned to Salzburg in 2024 for La clemenza di Tito and will return again in 2025, invited by Cecilia Bartoli.
