Levente Bubreg, born in 2008 in Austria to a Hungarian-Austrian musical family, began playing the bassoon at the age of eight with Manuel Lämmle at the Reutte-Ausserfern Music School. Since 2018, he has been a junior student in Daniele Muleri's bassoon class at the Tyrolean State Conservatory in Innsbruck.
Levente made his solo debut at the age of 11 with the StringSZ Orchestra in the Silbersaal. Two years later, he was awarded the Rotary Music Sponsorship Prize. Last summer, he won the Ignaz Pleyel Prize at the International Summer Academy (ISA). Recently, he was named the overall winner and received two special prizes at the XIV International Competition "Premio Crescendo 2023" in Italy. He also received the sponsorship prize at the "Tyrolean Classical Instrumentalist Award 2023."
This summer, Levente performed as a bassoonist with the VFJO Junior Orchestra at the renowned Verbier Festival in Switzerland and with the Camerata Prima Wien, a selection orchestra of the most talented young musicians, under the patronage of the Vienna Philharmonic in Austria.
