Iván Martín

Born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in 1978, Iván has already developed a solid international career, having collaborated with the London Philarmonic Orchestra, Berliner Konzerthausorchester, Paris Orchestra, Strassbourg Philarmonic Orchestra, Helsinki Philarmonic Orchestra, Zagreb Philarmonic Orchestra, Warsaw Simphonia, Symphonic Orchestra of Monterey, Symphonic Orchestra of Santiago de Chile and the Symphonic Orchestra of Sao Paulo. These collaborations have allowed him to work with many great Conductors including Gerd Albrecht, Max Bragado, Josep Caballé Domenech, Marzio Conti, Justin Brown, Christoph Eschenbach, Andrew Gurlay, Günter Herbig, Pedro Halffter, Lü Jia, Vladimir Jurowsky, Christoph König, Jean Jacques Kantorow, Kirill Karabits, Adrian Leaper, Paul Mann, Miguel Ángel Gómez Martínez, Juanjo Mena, Roberto Montenegro, John Neschling, Josep Pons, Alejandro Posada, Christophe Rousset, Antoni Ros Marbá, George Pehlivanian, Michael Sanderling, Michael Schønwandt, Dima Slobodeniouk, Georges Tchitchinadze and Antoni Wit.

He has performed in some of world’s most prestigious concert halls including Berliner Konzerthaus, Berliner Staatsoper, Berliner Philharmonie, Dortmund Konzerthaus, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Parisian Salle Pleyel, Nueva York Carnegie Hall, and Beijing National Center for Performing Arts.

Iván has released various recordings as soloist and in collaboration with different groups and orchestras for important labels including Naxos, Sony Music, Warner Music and Deutsche Gramophon. He has recorded several programmes for radio and TV in France, Italy, Brasil, United States and his native Spain.

On top of being an incredibly gifted pianist, Iván Martín is a multitalented and active musician, collaborating whenever possible with different music groups and ensembles. Recently he has also begun a promising conducting career, performing Bach and Beethoven with great success with different Spanish Orchestras.
