Franco Ambrosetti

Franco Ambrosetti was born in Lugani, Switzerland. He is the son of Flavio Ambrosetti, an alto saxophonist and a BeBop pioneer in the European jazz scene of the 1940s. Franco initially pursued classical piano for nearly nine years before switching to the trumpet at the age of 17, which he learned on his own. He is not only a renowned jazz musician, skilled in playing the trumpet and flugelhorn, but also a successful industrialist. Ambrosetti is known for his voluminous yet fiery trumpet playing and is internationally recognized as a soloist in Hardbop. He has recorded several albums for Enja Records and collaborated with numerous notable musicians.
