Ejnar Čolak (Baritone) was born in 1997 in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina. His musical journey began at the Music Academy in Zenica, where from 2012 to 2016, he honed his skills in accordion and music theory. Following his passion, he pursued higher education at the Music Academy Sarajevo, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance under the guidance of Prof. Adema Pljevljak-Krehić.
Additionally, in 2018-2019, Čolak participated in an Erasmus exchange program in Vigo, Spain, studying under the direction of Prof. Teresa Novoa.
He continued his studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, completing his degree in Vocal Performance under the guidance of Univ.-Prof. M.Mus. Laura Aikin in June 2024.
During his studies, he performed the role of Masetto in W.A. Mozart's "Don Giovanni" at the Schlosstheater Schönbrunn in 2021, and in 2024, he will sing the roles of Leporello in Mozart's "Don Giovanni" and the Father in Humperdinck's "Hänsel und Gretel". He has also studied numerous opera roles, including the title role in "Don Giovanni", Il Conte in "Le nozze di Figaro", Belcore in "L'elisir d'amore", Papageno in "Die Zauberflöte", and Escamillo in "Carmen".
He is one of the winners of the 33rd International Singing Competition of the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg.
He will participate in the final rounds of the 42nd International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition in Jurmala in June.
In addition to his opera successes, Čolak leads an active concert life. His passion for music is complemented by his commitment to the community. He has participated in over 80 concerts in nursing homes and has been a scholarship recipient of "Home Suisse – Madeleine de Blaireville" for 4 years.
